Disney's Frozen, my long awaited review!

Happy Thanksgiving & Happy Hanukkah Everyone,
Today I am going to do a review for the movie I have been waiting for +Disney's Frozen. I am doing this review from my point of view. I am by far a professional movie reviewer. I am the dad of two small children, and we all watched the 10am showing this morning. This is a Disney Dad review!

So after all the wait you are probably wondering, was it worth the wait? I have to honestly say Frozen was the best +Disney Movie to me since Beauty and the Beast. I do will not do into detail about the movie. I just want to say the movie had it all! It had great characters, story, and music. It had it's action, laughs, and moments that touched your heart. A movie I would not hesitate to pay and see again, and once released will be added to my dvd collection. The movie even kept my 3 year old son entertained throughout.

In closing I just want to say +Disney 's Frozen is a movie that will " WARM YOUR HEART" on the coldest of days. Go out to the movies and enjoy this instant +Disney Classic. Now I will continue my Frozen adventure while playing +Disney Infinity .

Hope you had a" Magical "day,
                                                                           EDdie

Disney's Frozen Coming This Wednesday!

Good Afternoon Everyone,
Today I just wanted to talk about the release this Wednesday of Disney's Frozen.  I don't know how much everyone else is anticipating this movie, but I am really looking forward to it. This Thanksgiving after eating I believe I'll be giving thanks to Disney for providing us with another great movie. There is something there for everyone to enjoy. From the smallest of children to families of all ages.I quickly want to go over some of the characters we can look forward to.

Anna: (voice of Kristen Bell) is more daring than graceful and, at times, can act before she thinks. But she's also the most optimistic and caring person you'll ever meet. She longs to reconnect with her sister, Elsa, as they were close during their childhood. When Elsa accidentally unleashes a magical secret that locks the kingdom of Arendelle in an eternal winter, Anna embarks on a dangerous adventure to make things right. Armed with only her fearlessness, a never-give-up attitude and her faith in others, Anna is determined to save both her kingdom and her family.

Elsa:From the outside, Elsa (voice of Idina Menzel) looks poised, regal and reserved, but in reality, she lives in fear as she wrestles with a mighty secret—she was born with the power to create ice and snow. It's a beautiful ability, but also extremely dangerous. Haunted by the moment her magic nearly killed her younger sister Anna, Elsa has isolated herself, spending every waking minute trying to suppress her growing powers. Her mounting emotions trigger the magic, accidentally setting off an eternal winter that she can't stop. She fears she's becoming a monster and that no one, not even her sister, can help her.

Olaf: He's Olaf (voice of Josh Gad) and he likes warm hugs. Sprung from Elsa's magical powers, Olaf is by far the friendliest snowman to walk the mountains above Arendelle. His innocence, outgoing personality and uncanny ability to disassemble himself at good and not-so-good times lead to some awkward, albeit laughable moments. He may also have the world's most impossible dream, but what he doesn't know won't melt him—or will it?

Sven:  A reindeer with the heart of a Labrador, Sven is Kristoff's loyal friend, sleigh-puller and conscience. He makes sure his mountain-man companion is the stand-up guy Sven knows and loves, and does so without saying a word. A few emphatic snorts usually get his point across. Life would be perfect if only Kristoff would lose that ridiculous reindeer voice he likes to use when speaking for Sven (as if reindeers really talk that way).

Kristoff : (voice of Jonathan Groff) is a true outdoorsman. He lives high up in the mountains where he harvests ice and sells it to the kingdom of Arendelle. Rough around the edges, Kristoff's the strong, no-nonsense type, who follows his own set of rules. He may seem like a loner, but he always has his best friend by his side—a loyal and extremely mangy reindeer named Sven.

Hans : (voice of Santino Fontana) is a handsome royal from a neighboring kingdom who comes to Arendelle for Elsa's coronation. With 12 older brothers, Hans grew up feeling practically invisible—and Anna can relate. Hans is smart, observant and chivalrous. Unlike Elsa, Hans promises he'll never shut Anna out; he just might be the connection she's been waiting for all these years.

I described these characters just as +Disney  does because this is all I know about them right now. Other character we will be introduced to are The Duke of Weselton,Oaken,The Trolls, and Marshmallow. This Thanksgiving I think I am looking more forward to +Disney's Frozen more than Thanksgiving dinner. They say this movie has the best musical score since Beauty and the Beast. So Thanksgiving night my family and I will be watching +Disney's Frozen! I can't wait to give a review in my own words of how much we enjoyed the movie. Hopefully many others are out enjoying this soon to be +Disney classic in the coming week. Happy Thanksgiving everyone and also Happy Hanukkah to all those celebrating. I'm just hoping on one of our next +Disney Vacations we are able to still meet the new +Disney Princesses Anna & Elsa. At least this week we will be able to enjoy Anna & Elsa as characters in our +Disney Infinity game.

           Have A Magical Week,

7 Days Of Disney Infinity Madness!

     Good evening everyone,
Hope everyone enjoyed their week and is looking forward to the weekend. As many +Disney Infinity fans know this is a period of many new releases. It has been has been an interesting week to say the least! Especially since my +Disney Infinity trips this week were with my 3 year old son Logan. That is all except for one.

The first part of the +Disney Infinity week started at Target at 8am Tuesday morning.  Tuesday was the announced release of the +Disney Infinity series two Target Exclusive album with discs set. Logan and I waited in the car until Target opened ready to purchase the item we were there for. Along with a few other customers we were all disappointed to find out they did not receive the item. They were nice enough to take our names down and hold one for us when they came in. Wednesday afternoon I receive a call saying the album has arrived so I can come and pick it up. I drive over to the store and when the cashier tries to ring it up it says can not be sold until 11/24/13. That is two trips to Target with a 3 year old, and nothing to show for it.

The next trip was going to Walmart at midnight alone for the Walmart Exclusive release of the Rapunzel figure. I wanted to surprise my daughter when she woke up in the morning. I get to Walmart and guess what? They have no idea about the item and I spend a half hour waiting only to find out they do not have it. Since I am already out at this horrible time I decide to drive to another Walmart hoping for better luck. No such luck, they do not have it either. Tonight I again will attempt to get Rapunzel at midnight. I am hoping for better luck this trip.

After minimal sleep last night it was time for Logan and I to take a drive to Best Buy for the Exclusive release of Wreck-It-Ralph. After a long and rainy ride Best Buy came through. The only retailer this week to have the product ready on the release date. They also had some items out that should not have been. I do give Best Buy the credit for being prepared for their exclusive release.

The final trip will be this Sunday when I return to Target. My +Disney Infinity album is waiting for pick up. Also Sunday is Target's Exclusive release of Vanellope  from Wreck-It-Ralph. I am expecting this to be a simple trip without any issues. That will be the end of this +Disney Infinity journey. The Frozen 2 pack with Anna & Elsa is being delivered UPS from The Disney Store on Monday. That is one day earlier than release!

So to wrap up my +Disney Infinity adventure I'll end with this. It has been an adventure of ups and downs, but it the end the kids and I will enjoy every moment spent playing +Disney Infinity with our new friends.

                                                Have A Magical Weekend Everyone,
                                                                                                           EDdie

Disney's Planes On DVD Today!

Good Afternoon Everyone,
Today @Disney releases it's high flying adventure +Disney's Planes . Just going to give you a quick little review while I wait for my copy of the dvd to be delivered by UPS.

Planes is much like it's counterpart Cars, but all the action takes place up in the air. Dusty Crophopper is your average crop dusting planes with big dreams of being a racer. His friends Leadbottom and Dottie try to talk Dusty out of his dreams of racing. With the support of his friend Chug, Dusty chases his dream. Dusty asks and old Navy War plane Skipper to train him to become a racer.

Dusty surprises everyone with his determination and skill and qualifies for The Wings Across The Globe Race. Dusty's friends come to his side to help him live out his dream. Along the way he makes a good friend named El Chupacabra, pretty much the Mater of Planes. El Chupacabra steals most of the laughs and is my 3 year old Logan's favorite plane.

In +Disney's Planes  you'll find action, comedy, and even a little love. Kids and adults alike should enjoy this movie. Don't go into it comparing it to Cars because it isn't. It is an enjoyable +Disney franchise with two more movies scheduled to follow.I'm not going to give any details about the adventure Dusty and his friends go on. I suggest you go out and get a copy of +Disney's Planes and enjoy the movie. This is a great family movie and a fun watch. Can't wait to watch it with my family again.

                                           Enjoy A Magical Flight,
                                                                                  EDdie

Disney Pride! Here And World Wide.

Good Morning!

Hello again friends and thank you for coming back today for a little bit of Everything +Disney . Today I just wanted to talk a little about the world wide attraction +Disney  has. As I see many of you are from different countries and different lifestyles. I was just curious how you were introduced to +Disney

My personal story starts as a baby when my mother had me dressed in overalls and a Winnie The Pooh shirt in my baby pictures. As I child I never made it to +Disney World . As a father I did not want my kids to miss out like I did. So our first trip to +Disney World  was July of 2007. This was the first trip for my wife Carla,my daughter Leilani and myself. Going to +Disney World  lived up to all my expectations and more. Everything about the experience was magical. From the friendly cast members to just strolling through the parks. Now we have become somewhat park veterans. Still every time we go we appreciate it even more. As for the memories they live on forever. Don't make the mistake of going there and being in a rush. Take your time and take in all +Disney  has to offer. You'll find many little things you otherwise would have never noticed,

So have you visited any of the +Disney Parks? If not you would be amazed at how affordable the trip can be. I the future I will post about ways to get the most for your money while planning your +Disney Vacations. Please everyone comment on your +Disney  memories, and any future +Disney trips you are planning. Is your trip thrill seeking going on rides or more relaxed with kids doing character meets? Also when you are not at +Disney Parks what do you do to bring a little +Disney  into your every day life?

In the comments leave you name and where you are from and give me a little background on why +Disney has a special place in your life. Thanks for taking a little time out of your day to read the thoughts a Disney dad comes up with at 3 o'clock in the morning because he can't sleep.

                                    Have A Terrific Tuesday,

Disney Store Limited Edition Anna & Elsa Released November 20th.

Good Evening Everyone,
Just wanted to write a short blog tonight as a reminder for collectors of the Disney Store Limited Edition Dolls. This Wednesday November 20th the Disney Store will be releasing Limited Edition Dolls of Anna and Elsa from the upcoming film +Disney 's Frozen. The dolls will be available for order online and in select store. If you want one I suggest ordering early. Each doll is limited to a production run of 2500 each worldwide. These dolls don't come cheap, they are a collectors item. The price is $99.95 US and $109.95 Canada.

So what is this Disney loving dad going to do? I have been collecting these dolls for my daughter since the first one was released in October 2009,that was Snow White. With the holidays coming along I just can't justify spending $200 on two dolls. So after much consideration I have decided Leilani will add Elsa to her collection. After all what is Frozen without Elsa!

Good Night And Wishing You Magical Dreams,
                                                                                                                                   EDdie

Darling Daughter's Disney Palace Pets Christmas Wishlist!

     Good morning everyone,
Up early with my daughter before our usual Sunday morning routine. Today I want to talk about something most dads know nothing about +Disney  Palace Pets. Watching all of the +Disney movies over and over I don't remember any of these pets. For those of you who are saying the same thing I am thinking, "Who are the Palace Pets?" well here is your answer.

I guess as the story goes each pet was found and adopted by their princess. This would be like all the animals at at Petco adoption days getting loose and each wondering upon a princess who takes them into their castle and cares for them. These aren't their regular animal friends from the +Disney films. Each is distinct to their princess which starts an entire new franchise, Palace Pets.

Coming from a father shopping for his daughter for Christmas, Palace Pets are at a fairly affordable price point and every little princess will love them. The prices range from a high of $29.99 all the way down to $6.99. With the holidays coming I thought what better than to start reviewing some of this holidays hottest toys. Still wondering who the Palace Pets are well here they are for you.

                                                    Have A Magical Sunday Everyone,
                                                                                                           EDdie

Disney Infinity! This years "Hottest" Holiday Gift

Hello everyone,
This morning was spent with my kids looking over various Christmas toy books from different retailers. That gave me the idea to review on of this years "Hottest" Christmas toys +Disney Infinity. We have been involved with the game since the +Disney Infinity Summer of Endless Fun Tour in New York City on August 17th and 18th. My children and I were able to demo the game, and speak with it's creators on this special weekend. To be honest, with my back injury the game has become much more than a game; it's become an experience.
+Disney Infinity was officially released on August 18, 2013 and it was something gamers and Disney fans alike were waiting for. Not being a major gamer myself, I was pulled in by the figures themselves. Collectible Disney characters that interact with a video game! It was pretty much just "take my money!" As soon as pre-orders were available in March 2013, I was in. The question is "was it worth the wait?"
To answer my previous question: YES it was! The game has two modes to play in the toy box and play sets. At this moment, the play sets are The Incredibles, Pirates of the Caribbean, Monsters University, The Lone Ranger, and Toy Story in Space. The play sets are fun adventures set in each distinct and beautiful world. They give you missions to complete and along the way, you collect items you can use in the toy box mode. The play sets make you a character in the movies you love. I cannot wait to see what +Disney Infinity has in store for us with future play sets.
The +Disney Infinity Toy Box lets you create your own world! Growing up, I was a fan of the Sim City games and enjoyed building my own city. +Disney Infinity goes a step further, making your Disney building dreams a reality. Any figure can be used in the toy box, but there are some figures that can only be used in that mode. This gives you the chance to build your own world for these characters. Let your imagination be your guide! You can also download toy boxes created by other fans and play online with other gamers.
Now for an introduction to the +Disney Infinity power discs. The power discs unlock special items in the game. The discs are sold in blind packs of two, so part of the fun is collecting them all and trading for the ones you still need. Trading sites on Facebook such as The Disney Infinity Trading Post gives you the chance to interact with fans from all over the world. You can make trades and share your +Disney Infinity experiences and tips. The trading aspect of the game is what made it really stand out in a special way. I was able to help people from all over the United States, even sending a trade at one point to England. Getting involved in a trading community really gives you a great base of knowledge to work with. You learn from one another, and you may even make some friends.
I am not a professional game reviewer, but from my experience, +Disney Infinity should be the holidays "Hottest Holiday Item." Get ready to fill those stockings up with power discs and figures. Also, every day of Hanukkah can be a +Disney Infinity Day. This isn't just for kids; adults will love playing the game as well -- once the kids are asleep! Check all of your local retailers for the very best deals on +Disney Infinity products. Any +Disney Infinity  questions feel free to ask, or join me on Facebook at The Disney Infinity Trading Post.
     Have A Magical Saturday,

Introduction: Here and Back Again

As the father of a Disney family, who better to write and report about all things that started with a mouse. I will be looking at everything from sharing park news to Disney Infinity game information.

My family and I spent a lot of time in Disney Parks & Disney Stores. We travel to different Disney events in the NY/NJ area and don't miss a new Disney film release. To be honest, I am new to blogging but I have a lot to say and share. Due to a work injury, I have become a stay-at-home dad and have much more time on my hands than I would prefer. With this time I have found myself sharing my love for Disney in different ways. The Disney Infinity video game really gave me an outlet to start sharing my Disney addiction my family, which has been surrounded with it.

This is just my first entry, but there is much more to come. I will keep watch over any Disney news and share what I learn with everyone.

     Have a magical day!
